North East Culture Connects, the new cluster development framework for Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, has adopted several of the recommendations from The Fifth Sector’s Mapping the Creative Industries in North East Scotland report:

  • A Joint Cultural and Creative Economy Board

  • A Creative Ecology Structural Fund to end the region's cycle of organisational churn

  • A North East Culture Data Hub to sustain full-spectrum measurement of cultural and creative industries.

  • It develops our discovery of an energy-transition convergence opportunity into a dedicated Creative Transition Services strand.

  • Support toward the freelance workforce our research first quantified.
